Humane Society of the United States — Cool vs. Cruel Fashion Design

Adobe Student Design Competition

Alouette Recipe Competition

The contest was launched in an effort to excite and energize culinary students by challenging them to develop innovative and appealing recipes incorporating various Alouette cheese products. The top winners receive a cash prize.

Hewlett Packard/Saytek Student Animation Competition

Students who enter will create a 1-5 minute animation piece. Grand prize winners are awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to the SIGGRAPH convention, one of the largest animation conventions in the United States.

The Quark Student Graphic Design Competition

The Quark Student Graphic Design Competition challenges students to create a print design piece using Quark software. The grand prize winner receives an expense paid trip to the National Student Design Show in Dallas, TX in April 2009 and a two-month virtual internship with Quark's Creative Services group [learn more]

"Best of The Art Institutes" Film Showcase

This showcase features short films created by students, faculty, and alumni of The Art Institutes. This year’s showcase included films from seven locations of The Art Institutes across the United States. The selections range from public service announcements and parodies to music videos, demo reels, and short stories.

City of Hope - Art of Hope Event

A partnership with the City of Hope Foundation Events take place at several of The Art Institute locations throughout the US. The Art of Hope initiative involves students and faculty asking them to decorate bras amongst other educational tools to help educate their communities about breast cancer.

Girls Scouts of America - Culinary Cookie Creations

Aspiring chefs at The Art Institutes locations throughout the US compete in the "Culinary Cookie Creations Competition" using America's favorite Girl Scout Cookies in original recipes.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - Cook for Cure

The Art Institutes locations throughout the US open their kitchens up to the public to host fundraisers to benefit Cook for the Cure and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Fundraising events include cooking classes, gourmet dinners , and silent auctions.

US Fish & Wildlife Service – The Teddy Project

The Teddy Project challenges The Art Institutes’ students to create public service announcements and other materials to make an animated Teddy Roosevelt come to life. The project, which partners the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with eighteen of The Art Institute schools throughout the US is designed to introduce urban youth to the wonder of natural wildlife within its own habitat.

Art Institutes National Non-Profit Web Raising Project

Building stronger communities – one Web site at a time – is what The Art Institutes National Web Raising event is all about. The Art Institutes’ fifth annual National Web Raising event took place on April 21, 2007, with live Web site launches in cities across the U.S. Since its inception, the National Web Raising effort has created dozens of Web sites for not-for-profit organizations providing services in the arts, the environment, social programs, and education. American Red Cross/Art Institutes “Save a Life Day”

The Art Institute locations in California partnered with the American Red Cross to host blood drives and to raise funds for the American Red Cross.
