Miami International University of Art & Design invites creative teens to a summer college experience

Kick off a fun and creative summer at Miami International University of Art & Design. This year, Miami International University of Art & Design invites high school sophomores and juniors to Studio 101, a 4-day summer workshop designed to expand and unlock creativity while acquiring new skills, meeting new friends and learning about some of the most exciting careers in media, design, or fashion.

The workshops take place June 16-19 offering high school students an opportunity to explore creative education programs from the perspective of a college student. The 4-day experience provides teenagers with a glimpse of life in a career oriented college learning the skills, techniques, and theories that are practiced by professionals in their fields of choice.

The best way to learn something is to do it. Therefore, workshop classes mimic best practices and techniques often used in the industry taught by the same professionals who teach at Miami International University of Art & Design. Shoot and edit video and digital photographs, create animation projects, design and create fashion garments and accessories, design a multimedia advertising campaign, and more! When not in the classroom, a variety of activities are planned each day to maximize the experience of being in an artistic and creative college environment. Students will go home with projects they have created and a greater knowledge of what they want to do after high school.
